April 14th and 15th 2018 - Ancienne École des Beaux-Arts

For its seventh edition, RIPA (Rencontre interuniversitaire de performance actuelle) was proud to present, on April 14th and 15th 2018 at Montreal’s Ancienne École des Beaux Arts, nine projects by emerging artists, as well as a piece by Michelle Lacombe, stepping in as this year’s guest artist. The 2018 program offered two days of performances by the following artists:

April 2nd and 3rd, 2016 - UQAM's Multipurpose room

The fifth edition of RIPA was conducted onApril 2nd and 3rd, 2016, at UQAM’s Salle polyvalente. The 2016 program, leaving aside the guest school formula, was composed of the performances of Caroline Boileau, as professional guest artist, and of seven emerging artists:

2015

May 2nd and 3rd 2015 - UQAM's Agora Hydro-Québec

The fourth edition of RIPA was held on April 2nd and 3rd,2015, at the Agora Hydro-Québec of UQAM’s Coeur des sciences. RIPA’s 2015 program presented the work of twelve emerging artists from the Quebec’s university networks as well as from our guest school the Ontario College of Art and Design. In addition the Doyon/Demers duo stepped in as the guest artists. The evening of performances included the work of:

2014

April 5th and 6th 2014 - UQAM’s Salle polyvalente

Taking place over the weekend of April 5th and 6th 2014, the third edition of the RIPA was also held at UQAM’s Salle polyvalente. The event presented the work of six student artists from various Quebec universities, as well as three from the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design (NSCAD) acting as our guest school. Standing in as our 2014 guest artist Shannon Cochrane performed alongside:

2013

April 20th 2013 - UQAM’s Salle polyvalente

The second edition of RIPA took place on Saturday, April 20, 2013 at 7PM at the Salle polyvalente of the Sherbrooke building of UQAM in Montreal. Within the frame of this edition, RIPA modified its formula by inviting a school from outside of Quebec to participate in the event. In addition to the students from the Quebec university network and a guest artist, the 2013 programming included the School of the Museum of Fine Arts (SMFA). The evening included a performance by our guest artist Julie Andrée T. as well as:

2012

April 28th 2012 - Centre Culturel Georges Vanier

The first edition of RIPA took place on Saturday April 28th 2012, at 7PM at the Georges-Vanier Cultural Centre in Montreal. The work of seven emerging artists selected for their innovative approaches and significant contributions to their community was presented. Étienne Boulanger our guest artist performed along side Francis O’Shaughnessy, who coordinated the event. Where presented that night the performative actions of:
